Live Well Chiropractic and Pilates Center is excited to offer reformer based pilates classes and private instruction.  Our highly trained  instructors are available six days a week and as always ready to offer an exhilarating exercise experience.  Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student you will find each instructor's unique approach to teaching both rewarding and challenging.

Stephen P. Gavin, D.C.



Dr. Gavin is the primary instructor for the "Boot Camp" classes.  His teaching style has proven to be very popular amongst clients who want to take their Pilates skills to an intermediate and/or advanced level.  He brings with him the knowledge of spinal alignment and biomechanics plus a vibrant and motivating personality.  His classes will definitely leave you sweating, but craving more.  His clients have remarked that ''Dr. Gavin will push you to reach your individual max, but will drown out your fears with fun music and a varied class every time".

Dirk Shafer

Let's increase your life.  Let's increase your level of awareness.  Let's increase your physical ability to cope and function more effectively everyday.  Let's more efficiently connect your mind to your body.  The Pilates classes that I offer are beneficial for everyone who attends, no matter what your level of experience. Whether you would like to learn the basic forms of Pilates or are trying to master the advanced postures I will help guide you towards a higher level of awareness with respect to your body.  I have also tried to make my sessions fun and diverse by creating a "Surf and Swim" class that incorporates many of the common body forms used in surfing and swimming.  Soon to come is my "Ballroom" class that will incorporate the art of dance into your workout.  I look forward to working with you soon!

Serene Zloof

Serene has a compassionate and gentle approach to working with clients.  She has the unique ability to build a sense of confidence and comfort that allows new and established clients to challenge themselves with skills they once thought of as unconceivable.  She offers both class instruction and private sessions and has a loyal following that have said "Serene has taken me from the daily pain of a severe disc herniation to being a pain FREE low level athlete...I cannot emphasize enough how tremendous she has been for both me and all the clients I have seen her working with." 

Michelle Merritt


Michelle strives to teach her students to move with greater joy and freedom in a fun, energetic and supportive atmosphere.  Michelle was a Radio City Rockette and Broadway dancer for many years and graduated from Pilates Sports Center specializing in West Coast Pilates.

Michelle encourages a thorough understanding of the principles of Pilates for building better strength, flexibility and alignment.  Michelle enjoys tailoring her routines to her client's specific needs while continually incorporating fresh and new movements into every session.

Britney Starzman


Britt began practicing Pilates 13 years ago to prevent injuries while performing 8 shows a week, as a Broadway dancer.Britt teaches West Coast Style Pilates and was trained by 3 physical therapists. She has been working at the Rehabilitative Institute in Beverly Hills for the past 3 years.

Britt’s sparkling and encouraging personality, combined with her dancing and rehab backgrounds, have made her one of the most successful and valued Pilates instructors today.

Liam Burke


 Liam Burke is a PMA certified instructor and has been teaching classical Pilates for the past 3 years in Los Angeles, CA.  He has trained many luminaries including Tyra Banks.  Prior to his segue into Pilates he danced his way across the globe, starting in the Australian Ballet Company and dancing on London's West End.  He came to the United States with Tap Dogs and danced on Broadway for five years.  He can be seen in the films Swing Kids, Center Stage and The Producers.  His clients have said "Liam is my body's drill sergeant, and the results are excellent."

Jedda Roskilly

With over 10 years of experience our UK born instructor has plenty to offer clients of all abilities.  With a smile on her face and strict focus on form her class will challenge and improve your core muscle strength and endurance.  Her clients have commented that "Jedda is a hip and fun lady that will make the most of your hour with her"

Pablo Milian

 

“A Dancing Heart” is my motto.  So when doing Pilates I want you to feel like you are doing it with a dancing heart and an open body!  Pablo Milian has danced for Disney, Bjork, “Will to Power,” and the Contemporary Dance Theater of Los Angeles.  While doing Pablo's class you will have many opportunities to perfect your Pilates form and incorporate the skill of rhythmic breathing into your exercise.  He will challenge your muscles with unique routines and and provide you with specific postural/form advice to allow you to make the most of your classes.  Pablo is currently a personal Pilates instructor for Jodie Foster, Yardly Smith, Kate Walsh, Paulina Rubio, Kim Coles, Babyface as well as many other well known entertainment people.
